Scholarship Opportunities

Each year the Draper-Riverton Rotary Club gives college scholarships to students in need and/or who exemplify the spirit of Rotary—Service Above Self.

This year, the Draper-Riverton Rotary Club will continue that tradition by awarding scholarships to a group of students from across our club footprint. This includes RSL Academy, Providence Hall, Herriman HS, Mountain Ridge HS, Riverton HS, Corner Canyon HS, Juan Diego HS, Summit Academy, American Prep Academy, and Kaurie Sue HS. One recipient will be honored to receive the Russ Cannon Service Above Self Scholarship ($1,000)—named after the founder of the Draper-Riverton Rotary Club and one who was personally responsible for many of these scholarships. The other recipients will be honored with our Service Above Self Scholarship ($500).

For students wishing to apply for the Service Above Self Scholarships please send an email to our club president with the following items:

  • Name
  • Contact Information: Phone number, address, and email
  • High school you currently attend
  • College/University you plan on attending
  • A 500-word essay on how you have applied the Rotary values of Service Above Self and the Four-way Test to your life

The submission deadline for scholarships is Wednesday, May 4, 2022. Scholarship recipients will be notified within a month and are requested to attend a lunch scholarship awards banquet that will be announced.
