Each year the Draper-Riverton Rotary Club gives college scholarships to students in need and/or who exemplify the the spirit of Rotary—Service Above Self.
This year, the Draper-Riverton Rotary Club will continue that tradition by awarding a scholarship to one student from each of the following schools: Corner Canyon High School, Juan Diego High School, Riverton High School, Herriman High School, and Providence Hall. Four of the five scholarship recipient will be be honored with our Service Above Self Scholarship ($500) with the other to receive the Russ Cannon Service Above Self Scholarship ($1,000)—named after the founder of the Draper-Riverton Rotary Club and one who was personally responsible for many of these scholarships.
For students wishing to apply for the Service Above Self Scholarships please send an email to our club president with the following items:
- Contact Information including: Phone number, address, and email
- High school you currently attend
- College/University you plan on attending
- An essay on how you have applied the Rotary values of Service Above Self and the Four-way Test to your life—essays should not exceed a page and a half in length
The submission deadline for scholarship April 20th every year. Scholarship recipients will be notified within a couple months and are requested to attend a lunch scholarship awards banquet.
